This presentation is an instructional, practice‑oriented session focused on integrating behavioral threat assessment principles into school counseling practice. The contents address the following competencies: assessment and evaluation by understanding behavioral indicators, contextual factors, and structures involved in school-based threat assessment, crisis prevention and intervention, and ethical professional practice in the PK-12 setting. This session equips participants with an in-depth examination of the factors that contribute to student violence, an overview of behavioral threat assessment practices, and practical strategies for mitigating and managing potential risks through real case examples.
