Hope is a critical, underutilized catalyst in mental health treatment that directly impacts a client's willingness to seek help and remain open to change. Drawing on recent empirical research and practice, this session examines the relationship between baseline hope, service attitudes, and treatment retention. Participants will move beyond theory to analyze how hope functions as a measurable mechanism for clinical change. Attendees will acquire evidence-based insights and practical interventions to cultivate hope within the therapeutic alliance, helping to lower help-seeking barriers and mitigate early dropout rates across diverse client populations.
