2026 TAHC Presents: Lifting the Veil: A Humanistic Approach to Grief Work

Explore a humanistic approach to grief that honors presence, meaning-making, and the deeply personal nature of loss. This webinar guides mental health professionals in normalizing grief, integrating “beyond the veil” experiences, and applying empathic, client-led skills to create flexible, compassionate interventions that truly bring the human into the room.

1. Attendees will be able to identify core tenets of humanistic counseling and describe how these principles support bereaved clients in meaning-making and emotional integration.
2. Attendees will be able to describe core characteristics of the grief process and articulate strategies for normalizing grief responses through a client-centered lens.
3. Attendees will discuss the role of dreams, visions, symbolic signs, and “beyond the veil” experiences within the grief process through personal/ professional examples and case studies.
