Description: Sustaining School Counselors in Turbulent Times centers the lived experiences of school counselors engaged in social justice work within Texas public schools. Grounded in findings from an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) study, this session highlights how leadership, advocacy, and social justice identity development sustain counselors and disrupt pushout practices for students from marginalized backgrounds. Participants will gain insight into equity-centered strategies that strengthen comprehensive school counseling programs and support counselors in leading with purpose and resilience during turbulent times
