A: No. A deposit in not required. However, a major credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.
Q: I'm told the hotel block is full, what now?
A: TCA recommends you book your room as soon as possible to guarantee a spot in the TCA hotel block. If the host hotel block fills, we will work to negotiate additional discounted room space with nearby hotel properties. Sometimes due to cancellations, rooms become available after the host hotel block is closed. Check back with the hotel in question if you want to stay there.

Q: When can I register for the conference?
A: TCA members can register at the early-bird rate until June 30, 2018. This is the lowest rate offered for the conference. Pre-registration is available from July 1 - October 26. Pre-registration materials can be picked up in the conference's exhibit hall. On-site registration will be available at a higher rate.
Q: What type of payment is accepted?
A: You can register online using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. You can pay by check using the printable registration form.
Purchase orders are NOT accepted as a form of payment.
Q: I've missed the pre-registration deadline, now what?
A: Register on site. On-site registration is open every day of the conference and is located in the exhibit hall.
Q: How do I cancel my registration?
A: The cancellation deadline is October 26, 2018. Please submit an electronic refund request. A $50 administrative fee is deducted from all refunds and duplicate payments. Refunds are generally processed 6 - 8 weeks after the event ends. If your request is denied you will be notified in writing. Meal function, special event, and t-shirt tickets are non-refundable. Substitutions are permitted and must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: How do I access handouts?
A: TCA has gone green. We ask presenters to supply their handouts and presentations electronically before the conference. So you can download what you need before you attend a session! If handouts are provided by a presenter, they will be posted online closer to the start of conference. In addition, handouts will be available in the conference app.
Q: Will the handouts be available after conference is over?
A: Yes, handouts that TCA receives will be available on line after the conference until December 31 and through the conference app.
Q: How many CE hours can I earn at conference?
A: One (1.0) continuing education contact clock hour is given per program hour. An attendee can earn 6.5 CE hours by attending a Learning Institute (11/14), a number of additional CE hours during the conference educational programs (11/15-11/16), and 3.5 CE hours by attending a Post Conference Workshop (11/17).
Q: How do I get CE credit?
A: Licensing boards in Texas only require a contact record form, which is provided in your conference program book. If you desire a CE verification, email Bobbie@txca.org
Q: What type of CE credit can I earn at your conference?
A: All conference programs are eligible for LPC, NBCC, SBEC, LMFT, SW, Psychologist/LSSP and School Psychologist continuing education hours.
Q: Where can I submit a conference survey?
A: TCA will email you a link to the conference attendee survey at the event's conclusion. You may also complete program specific surveys through the conference app.
Q: What is the deadline for exhibitor move in?
A: Specific move-in instructions will be emailed to exhibitors six to eight weeks prior to the conference. Exhibitors may move in starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, but no later than 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14.
Q: Is complimentary food provided to exhibitors?
A: Coffee and a continental breakfast plus afternoon snacks are provided in the exhibitor lounge.
Q: I'm registered as an exhibitor can I attend conference programs?
A: No. You must register for the conference to attend programs. Exhibitors that are presenting are not required to register as a conference attendee. Certain sponsorship levels receive a complimentary conference registration.

A: The conference generally attracts approximately 2,000 Licensed Professional Counselors, Counselor Educators, School Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, students, and other mental health professionals in attendance. Attendees hail from a wide variety of settings including in private practice; at elementary and secondary schools; on college campuses; in criminal justice settings; at community mental health centers, hospitals, nursing homes and managed care facilities; and more.
