2027 WTCA Presents: AuDHD Across the Lifespan: Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment

When:  Fri, Feb 12, 2027 from 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM (CT)

This course examines co-occurring autism and ADHD (AuDHD) across the lifespan. Participants will explore assessment and diagnostic considerations, masking and disparities in identification, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches to treatment and support. Clinical applications include adapting interventions, identifying appropriate accommodations, and addressing ethical considerations when supporting AuDHD clients.

1. Differentiate overlapping and interacting features of autism and ADHD that may influence the assessment and diagnosis of co-occurring AuDHD.
2. Assess how AuDHD presentation and support needs vary across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood and adapt treatment plans to meet these support needs.
3. Apply neurodiversity-affirming principles to adapt clinical interventions, accommodations, support, and psychoeducation for AuDHD clients.
