CALL FOR COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS
Term:July 1- June 30
Appointments are for one-year and will begin on July 1. Membership in TCA is required.
As a non-profit organization,TCA depends on the commitment of its members to keep our association strong. The work of each committee is developed each year by the committee and approved by the TCA Board. Committee members may serve on a committee for up to three consecutive years.
Awards: review nominations and select recipients for TCA's Professional Awards and provide nominations for ACA
By-laws: ensure that the by-laws and governance manual reflect the policies established by the TCA Board and Senate and are in compliance with ACA
Educational Endowment Fund (EEF): review and approve applications for EEF grants and solicit contributions for the funds
Ethics: educate TCA members on ethical principles, processes and practices; review ethics CEU applications
Graduate Student Involvement: recruit, support and retain graduate students who are pursuing careers in counseling
Membership: promote membership in TCA through relevant and beneficial member services
Public Policy Committee: monitor public policy issues that impact professional counselors and recommend positions on issues to the TCA Board and Senate
Program Review Committee: To review all program submissions
Research, Assessment & Evaluation: support research related to effective counseling practices and TCA public policy positions
Wellness: support the realization and appreciation that everything a person feels, thinks, does and believes impacts one’s health and well-being
