Committees

We need your help! Please help meet the association's goals of strengthening the profession of counselor education and supervision in Texas by joining one of the committees listed below. Contact any member of the leadership to join!

Program Committees
Are responsible for the program and arrangements of our annual conferences.

• Mid-Winter Conference
• Directors of Guidance Conference and Student Services

The Membership Committee
Actively actively promotes membership in the Association.

The Nominations and Elections Committee
This committee is responsible for carrying out nominations and elections procedures in accordance with the By-laws.

The Awards Committee
Actively seeks nominations for "Outstanding Counselor Educator" and "Outstanding Counselor Supervisor" awards. The committee shall review nominations for these awards and select award recipients to be honored at the TACES Luncheon during TCA Conference. The Awards Committee will research recipients for Emeritus Membership status and make recommendations to the Executive Committee. The Emeritus members will also be recognized at the TACES Luncheon during the TCA Conference. The Awards Committee will develop nominations of TACES members and/or activities for ACES and TCA awards.

The Publications Committee
Is responsible for the timely publication of the fall, winter, and spring issues of the Association newsletter.

The Research Committee
Works with the TCA Research Committee to promote research issues of importance to TACES.

The Resolutions Committee
Is responsible for writing, reviewing, editing and rewriting all resolutions proposed for action at the business sessions of the annual meetings. Resolutions, not accepted by the Committee, may be introduced at the appropriate time in the order of business by those wishing to seek action on those resolutions.

The Legislation Committee
Works with the TCA Legislative Committee to promote legislative issues of importance to TACES.

The School Issues Committee
Serves as a liaison between the TCA School Issues, Advocacy, and Public Policy Committee and TACES on issues of importance to TACES.

The Clinician Issues Committee
Serves as a liaison between the TCA Clinician Issues, Advocacy, and Public Policy Committee and TACES on issues of importance to TACES.

The Budget - Finance Committee
Is responsible for creation of the budget and review of monthly financials.
