 Jan Friese, Executive Director, a long time health and education advocate, has been with TCA since 2003. Born in New York, NY she will always be a Yankee at heart. As Executive Director, Jan applies her experience in business, management and government relations to implement programs and services that promote and grow TCA. Jan works with the leadership of TCA, its divisions and chapters on governance issues, public policy initiatives, and strategic planning. jan@txca.org
 Matt Goertz, Administrative Assistant, a native Austinite, started with TCA as a high school intern in 2005. While his initial duties included mailings and filing, he has since become a valuable addition to the TCA team. Matt is currently responsible for membership services, database support, email blasts, conference registration and audio-visual needs. Matt is currently enrolled in the Oak Hill Fire Academy and expects to graduate as a firefighter in 2010. matt@txca.org
 James Jacobs, Accounting Director, TCA’s Accounting Director, has been with the association for almost two years. Born in Zeeland, Michigan, James has worked in non-profit accounting for over nine years. An entrepreneurial visionary with rock solid financial skills, his “every-penny-in-every-penny-out” philosophy keeps TCA and its divisions in the black. James handles all TCA and division finances, conference registration and calls for programs, as well as Web and technology support. james@txca.org
 Kathy Kasper, Assistant Executive Director, born in Springfield Illinois, joined TCA as Assistant Executive Director in August 2007. Her event planning and project management skills are integral to the daily operations of TCA. A former UT Area Coordinator in the Division of Housing and Food Development, Kathy brings with her professional contacts from across Texas as well as the biggest rolodex in the office. Kathy’s responsibilities include contract management, conference planning, HR services and project management of the College Access Challenge Grant and Heroes in the Fight kathy@txca.org
 Robin Rumancik, Public Relations Coordinator, the most recent addition to the TCA team, started in January, 2009 as Public Relations Coordinator. A native Austinite and former literary publicist, Robin brings an in-depth understanding of public relations and honed literary dexterity. Press releases to promote TCA, division and chapter events, award winners, grant recipients and public policy issues are written and distributed by Robin. She also created and maintains the TCA Press Room on our website and is helping the Communications Committee develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy including a professional counselor PSA. robin@txca.org
 Jennifer Taylor, Executive Assistant, formerly Cullen, has been with TCA for almost eight years. While her title reads: Executive Assistant, Jennifer’s day-to-day work is all-encompassing and covers a wide variety of responsibilities. Her expansive knowledge of TCA systems and programs make her an invaluable resource. Jennifer coordinates review of CEU applications, EEF Grants and TCA Awards; recruits and manages conference exhibitors; and coordinates production of all TCA print resources. The smile in her voice reflects her commitment to providing high quality service to TCA’s members, volunteers and elected leaders. jennifer@txca.org
