The 54th Annual Professional Growth Conference held at the Austin Convention Center, November 10-13, 2010 features over 180 educational sessions, networking events, keynote speakers, and pre- and post-conference workshops.
Attendees of the complete, four day professional development event can earn more than 20 continuing education credits and choose from a wide variety of topics including mental health, school and college counseling, counselor education and supervision, addiction and offender counseling, community and clinical counseling, marital, couple and family counseling, career development and employment counseling, as well as diversity, multicultural and social justice issues in counseling.
The Professional Growth Conference also features programs and updates from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Texas Education Agency and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as well as keynote presentations from Bill O'Hanlon and Michael Hoffman.
The conference is intended for licensed professional counselors, professional school counselors, directors of guidance, counselor educators, graduate counseling students, lead counselors and other mental health professionals. All pre- post- and sectional programs as well as the general sessions are eligible for LPC, NBCC, SBEC, LCDC, Social Worker, and Psychologist continuing education credits. Ethics credits are also offered for 11 specific programs throughout the conference and are categorized as “Ethics” in the conference program book.

Pre-Conference workshops are offered on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 8am to 4:45pm. Cost is $75. Pre-conference registration may be purchased without full conference registration. You must indicate which workshop you have selected on your registration form. You may register on-site at the Hyatt Regency Hotel until 8:30am on November 10, 2010.

Welcome to the TCA 2010 Schedule Planner! You can view and schedule all of the presentations that will be available at the Professional Growth Conference in November.
To Add Sessions to Your Itinerary:
- Find a session of interest by using the search options below these instructions.
- Select the check box of each session that is of interest to you.
- The system will be automatically ask you to login. If you are a new user to this system, select “New Users Click Here” (then enter your email address and a password).
- Once you have logged in, the session will be added to your itinerary.
- A message will appear noting the session has been added.
To View Your Itinerary:
- Click on My Itinerary in the upper left hand corner to review the selected session on your saved itinerary.
- You may delete sessions on this screen by clicking on the check box of the session you wish to remove and clicking the Delete button on the bottom of the page.
- To print a copy of your saved itinerary, click on Show Print Page and then click Print.
Seating is still offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Creating an itinerary does not reserve you a seat in any session. |

Shuttles will be running between all conference hotels and the convention center. Parking is $7 at the convention center per weekday and $8 on the weekend.
Exhibitor Information
TCA conference exhibitors are an integral part of the Professional Growth Conference. They offer conference attendees the chance to gather information on exciting and cutting-edge products and services relevant to attendees’ unique needs. Conference exhibitors receive at 10’x10’ booth, one 6' draped table, two chairs, an 8' back drape and 3' side drapes in show colors and the company name on a printed 7" x 44" sign placed above the booth. Exhibitors will be located in Exhibit Hall 2 on first floor of the Austin Convention Center. Conference general sessions will also be held on the first floor, directly next to Exhibit Hall 2. A small selection of food and beverage refreshments will be available, exclusively for exhibitors, in the mornings and afternoons.
